Welcome to the Website of the Diocese of Kibungo. This Website is one of the Means of Communication that the Diocese of Kibungo uses for Evangelisation, in the framework of teaching and sanctifying the People of God with the proclamation of the Word of God. The Catholic Church, as the Decree on the Means of Social Communication (Inter Mirifica) emphasises, “is perfectly aware that these instruments, if used correctly, are of great value to mankind; for they can contribute to the entertainment and instruction of the mind, as well as to the extension and consolidation of the Kingdom of God” (Inter Mirifica nº 2)!
Its objective, which is in line with the Inter Mirifica Decree on the Means of Social Communication: “Founded by Christ to bring salvation to all men and impelled by the necessity of proclaiming the Gospel to them, the Catholic Church considers it her duty to preach salvation also by means of the instruments of social communication and to teach men the right use of the latter” (Inter Mirifica nº 3), remaining faithful to the Catholic faith.
The site is built in the three official languages of the country, Kinyarwanda, French and English, so that everyone can use the language that suits them best. We will regularly translate into these three languages the messages and documents deemed most important for all readers.
